Research Enviroment

University if Pune recently took a measure step in inculating research orientation at the affiliated college level. About 500 research projects from teachers were funded by the University (each receiving from Rs. 50,000 up to 3 lakh per project), thus disbursing as much as Rs. 8 crore. In the latest budget, aprovision of a whopping Rs. 6 crore has been made for this purpose. The University participated in the first ever Inter-University Research Competition for students termed Avishkar, and it was not surprising that UoP won the Overall Championship for last consecutove years.
